I recently moved to Costa Rica from the US. I called about a home I found online. The listing agent Mirtha Gomez spoke fluent English and I was relieved how friendly and informative she was. I was definitely out of my comfort zone about purchasing in a foreign country. Mirtha was a perfect match for me. She spent two days showing me comparibles to her listing. On the successful sale of our property in Cartago, Costa Rica, we want to express our gratitude for the amazing work accomplished by our agent, Silina Debes and Properties in Costa Rica. Silina had some difficult hurdles to go over to make the sale possible in five months. First, Silina was dealing with folks that knew nothing about selling property in Costa Rica. She was patient and guided us all through the process step-by-step so we all would know what was developing with the sale. A real plus was that she answered all questions in a professional and timely manner. Secondly, she had to negotiate with people living in two different countries and she was in Costa Rica. Like magical steps, she led us all through the process to reach the desired goal, sell the property at a price that was fair for all involved! The biggest hurdle was making all this happen when the world is experiencing the COVID pandemic. Meaning, there were travel complications to address for the clients. Silina found the perfect couple that will enjoy our home for many years to come. Thank you Silina!

We have two other pieces of property to sale in Costa Rica. My husband and I would not even consider using another real estate company. We will only work through Properties in Costa Rica and only with SILINA!

We had a desire to live in Costa Rica when we retired. I did some online searches and found a prospect. I sent an email for more information and Kris Anderson from Properties in Costa Rica promptly replied to my request and soon we were scheduling to meet. Our dealings with Mrs Anderson turned out to be 4 trips down to Costa Rica over the course of a year. Each time we arrived we would meet Mrs Anderson and she would show us 4-5 houses a day, as many days as we wanted to spend with her. She is extremely knowledgeable about the area. Never pushy and super friendly. She really listens to her customers likes & dislikes, needs & wants, to find the perfect "home" for them.

Mrs Anderson (Kris as we now call her) suggested we start an escrow account and get an attorney so when we find our perfect place we will be ready to go. Kris once again worked her magic and found us an attorney and referred us to an escrow company. We had all our paperwork in order 5 days before we were scheduled to head home. We scheduled one last day with Kris and found our "new home" that we wanted to make an offer on. Kris was delighted for us. Kris once again stepped in and worked her magic. Our offer was accepted with a little back and forth, and we were heading home as our vacation came to an end. Over the next three months inspections were done forms were sent and Kris was there for us every step of the way. Our purchase continued to move forward and we actually closed during a pandemic with Kris at the table and us in the states. It was a real blessing having someone trustworthy looking out for us in a foreign country. Reassuring us everything is under control - "Pura Vida" as they say.

We have not yet seen our new home in person due to current travel restrictions, but Kris has sent us videos and helped us get our keys to our new gardener and maid while we wait patiently to visit. Our first stop will be at Kris's office to thank her personally for all her hard work and dedication she puts into each and every transaction she does. She is truely "One In A Million!"
